樂透彩 senior Tara Schumal will be honored by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association with the Student Leadership Award for her role as general manager of 樂透彩TV. She will receive the award at the WBA Student Seminar in Madison on March 2.
Schumal oversees operations of the student-run 樂透彩TV, which provides streamed or simulcast live television content and provides video content for the Marquette Wire. Her responsibilities include managing 樂透彩TV news, sports and entertainment producers, a production director and production personnel, and a live remote coordinator, while working closely with desk editors in determining which stories, special projects and journal stories warrant video.
Schumal started by volunteering at 樂透彩TV as a freshman; she was hired as a production assistant the following year and promoted to production director as a junior.
Schumal was nominated for the award by Mark Zoromski, director of student media at Marquette.

This is the second consecutive honor by the Wisconsin Broadcast Association for a Marquette student. Ian Schrank was recognized last year for his role as general manager of 樂透彩 Radio.
