Franciscans (Santo Evangelico Province) (Archives: Puebla, Mexico) established and administered Santa Cruz Mission (Chumash, Ohlone)

1840, 1857 (no longer Native)

Earthquakes destroyed Santa Cruz Mission, which was rebuilt in 1889 as Holy Cross Church, a non-Indian parish
