History: Rev. Andre Coindre founded the Brothers of the Sacred Heart in France, 1821, who self-identify with the post-nominal initials, β€œS.C.” They made its first U.S. foundation, 1847, and through their United States Province, the Brothers of the Sacred Heart have evangelized Native Americans through the following institutions.
